Sheffield Wednesday's tough start to the season continued on Sunday as they fell to a very disappointing 2-0 defeat at Brentford.

Whilst losing against the Bees at Griffin Park is not surprising, the manner of the defeat was very alarming, with the Owls second best for large periods and they were fortunate not to lose by a bigger margin.

It means Jos Luhukay's men remain without a win ahead of tomorrow's crucial encounter against Millwall at Hillsborough.

However, there is one positive for Wednesday and that is that new players could be arriving before the end of the month.

A transfer embargo prevented Luhukay adding to his squad this summer but that was recently lifted, which means Luhukay can look to utilise the loan market to help his struggling squad.

There's no doubt that new faces are needed to help the team and it should also give a boost to the entire club.

Here we look at THREE potential deals the Dutchman should be pushing for...

The Wolves defender is way down the pecking order at Molineux, and after 12 months of not playing last season, he will be desperate to get some game time.

At Hillsborough he would become a key player and has the quality to seriously enhance what has been a struggling defence.

It's a move that suits all parties.

There's no doubting that the Owls are in a difficult position and whilst it's an early stage of the season, they need to get out of this slump as soon as possible.

Experienced players could be key to that and Leicester's Simpson would be a valuable addition.

He would easily be the best right-back at Wednesday and is a proven winner, bringing the sort of mentality that they are lacking.

Similarly, another Leicester man that would bring experience is Wales international King.

Like Simpson, he is not going to play in the East Midlands and will want to play regularly.

He is decent on the ball, can weigh in with goals and could be the steady figure that the Owls are lacking in the middle of the park.
