Luton Town appear to be one of the quieter EFL clubs this January, with Nathan Jones doing the hard work in the summer.

It was a big summer of change at Kenilworth Road, with the likes of James Collins, Matty Pearson, George Moncur and Ryan Tunnicliffe saying their goodbyes.

Recruiting athletic players became a common theme of Luton's summer, with the Hatters welcoming Admiral Muskwe, Allan Campbell and Fred Onyedinma to the squad.

It remains to be seen what the January transfer window has in store for Luton fans, so here, we take a look at possible business involving Luton...

Elliot Anderson

The Athletic reported last week that Luton were closing in on securing a loan deal for Newcastle United starlet Elliot Anderson.

Nathan Jones has since confirmed that the Hatters are interested in a move for the exciting midfielder but has admitted that they are not too close to signing him.

The 19-year-old has netted five goals in six Premier League 2 appearances thus far this season, proving to bring attacking edge and final third quality onto a football pitch.

Christian Walton

Luton are battling it out with Ipswich Town for Christian Walton, as per a report from The Sun (16.01.21 – pg. 60).

The report states that wages are proving to be a stumbling block for both sides in pursuit, and whilst the Tractor Boys are more likely to meet the financial demands, the Hatters would offer Championship football.

Luton have been no strangers to a transfer link with Walton, following an impressive spell from the 26-year-old back during the 2016/17 season.

However, it appears that the Suffolk club are set to win the race for the shot-stopper, as per an update from Alan Nixon on Twitter.

Peter Kioso

Peter Kioso could be recalled by the Hatters this month, with this notion of bringing players back from their loan spells becoming a common theme during these Covid times.

Toby Lock of the MK Citizen has provided an update on Kioso's situation via Twitter, suggesting that it is likely that the Championship outfit will bring him back.

Kioso has been an integral part of Liam Manning's team this season, and whilst he has predominantly been tasked with operating as a right wing-back, he has also been deployed as part of a back three.
