Eight players have ruled out a possible move to Leeds United this week after many of them joined different clubs.

Italian international Davide Astori is one of the players who had been linked with Leeds this summer, however the defender has instead joined Serie A club AS Roma on a season long loan.

Swiss defender Jonathan Rossini joined Serie B side Bari on loan after Leeds pulled out of a deal for the 25-year-old during their pre-season tour of Italy.

Brazilian Rodrigo is another player who had been linked with the Championship club this summer, but has joined Serie A side Avellino.

Manchester City youngster Emyr Huws was linked with a loan deal to Leeds this summer but has decided to join Wigan Athletic instead.

Rochdale striker Scott Hogan was linked with a move to Elland Road throughout this transfer window but he signed a three-year deal with Brentford last weekend.

Scunthorpe United striker Sam Winnall had been linked with a move to Leeds since June but he put pen-to-paper with Barnsley on a three-year deal. Napoli defender

Alessandro Gamberini was also linked with Leeds this summer but he has instead joined Serie A side Chievo Verona. Another player Leeds have missed out on is Cagliari defender Danilo Avelar, who committed his future to the Serie A club despite being linked with a move to Elland Road since January.

Hull City midfielder Robert Koren was linked with a move to Leeds as well, but is on the verge of joining newly formed club Melbourne City in Australia.
