Middlesbrough have reignited their interest in signing Everton winger Yannick Bolasie according to a recent report from Football Insider.

Bolasie has struggled for regular game time with the Toffees, and it seems highly likely that he'll be heading for the Goodison Park exit door in the New Year, when the January transfer window opens.

A move to Middlesbrough is likely to tempt Bolasie as well, with the winger almost signing for Boro on Deadline Day in the summer transfer window.

Football Insider previously revealed that the midfielder agreed a deal to move to the Championship club on loan, but the paperwork needed to complete the move wasn't finalised in time.

Bolasie has made 32 appearances in his time with Everton, and spent last year's campaign on loan with Portuguese side Sporting CP, as he made 25 appearances for them, whilst also chipping in with two goals and five assists.

It is claimed that Everton are willing to move Bolaise on in the New Year, with the winger not playing a single minute in their first-team this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether he'll sign permanently for Middlesbrough though, as they look to add to their squad, with Neil Warnock's side currently sat 11th in the Championship table.

Warnock and his Middlesbrough team are set to return to action this weekend, when they take on Millwall at the Riverside, in what is likely to be a tricky test for Boro.

The Verdict:

This makes sense for both parties involved.

Bolasie hasn't been given a chance to impress for Everton this season, so it would make sense if he was heading for the exit door in the January transfer window.

Middlesbrough could certainly benefit from signing a player of his quality, as he'll be eager to prove himself after a frustrating few seasons with the Toffees.

They're keen to get their man evidently, as they almost signed him in the last transfer window, and I think he'd be a solid addition to Neil Warnock's team as they look to challenge for a top-six finish.
