There's some big games coming up this weekend in the Championship with local pride at stake in a few of them.
Leeds and Sheffield United do battle tonight at Elland Road whilst Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley face off on Saturday and Aston Villa travel to Birmingham City on Sunday. All are going to be intriguing games to take in but local pride isn't a key factor for a game to be compelling.

Indeed, one match that isn't a derby but does look like a very exciting clash is Norwich City v Derby County at Carrow Road as two of the form sides meet in Norfolk. Norwich are on a great run and look very strong defensively whilst Derby are looking like they are beginning to fulfill their potential at the moment.
It promises to be a close affair, then, and it seems as though David Prutton is backing a very narrow win for the home side come the final whistle. Writing in his Sky Sports prediction column, the former midfielder is backing a 2-1 victory for the men in yellow and that would only further bolster their play-off surge at the moment.
For Derby, though, it'd mean going back to the drawing board.
The Verdict
I wouldn't be at all surprised by any result in this game such is the quality that both sides possess and how well they have been going recently.
I think, though, with that in mind we are going to see a draw. Norwich are great defensively but do not score as many as they perhaps should and I think Derby are beginning to really work up a head of steam so I'm going 1-1.
