Fulham will be relying on Reading to do them a favour as they head into the final day of the Championship season looking to get the second automatic promotion spot.

Even though Slavisa Jokanovic's men have enjoyed a superb second half to the campaign, they know even victory at Birmingham City isn't enough to secure promotion.

Instead, they will need to better Cardiff City's result, with the Welsh side up against Reading at home.

However, all Fulham can do is concentrate on themselves and ensuring they get the win they will probably need.

And, EFL pundit David Prutton thinks the Cottagers will manage that, predicting them to win 2-1 at St. Andrew's in his regular column on Sky Sports.

The Londoners head into the game in great form, unbeaten in 23 league games and will expect to continue that run against a struggling Blues side, although the hosts do need a point to guarantee safety.

Should Fulham end the day in third position they are likely to face Derby County in the play-offs with the first leg played in the next week.

The Verdict

Fulham fans won't be expecting much tomorrow with Cardiff at home to Reading but you never know in football.

What the Cottagers must do is ensure they get the win so that if the Welsh side to slip up they can take advantage.

It will be hard to concentrate on the game but that's what they must do and it's a tricky encounter against a Birmingham side that have improved significantly under Garry Monk.
