West Brom will be hoping that they can start to climb up the table during this run-up before the World Cup, with Swansea City the latest test for Steve Bruce's side.

The Baggies have picked up 10 points from their opening 10 games, form that leaves them 21st in the Championship standings, that is despite performances being better than their position would suggest.

Up next for Steve Bruce's side is Swansea City, with the South Wales club accumulating 12 points from their opening 10 matches.

The Swans have accumulated five points from their four games on their travels and will be hoping to better that record at The Hawthorns.

Sharing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that West Brom's troubles in picking up points will continue and will lose this 2-1.

The verdict

West Brom have certainly struggled to pick up points this season, and with the Swans going into the international break on a high, it is clear to see why Prutton is predicting another Baggies struggle.

However, performing well when it comes to expected goals and continuing to create a high number of chances, it is only a matter of time before things start to pick up.

With Brandon Thomas-Asante making a bright start to his Baggies career, his evident confidence could help fire West Brom back to winning ways at the weekend.

Likely to see less of the ball against Swansea, the Baggies will need to be creative and will have to break with pace and intelligence to secure the three points.
