Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has predicted that Millwall will end their four-game winless run and beat Reading 2-1 at the Den on Wednesday evening.

Gary Rowett's side have not won since their 2-0 victory over Preston North End in late October but welcome a Reading team in even worse form.

After winning seven of their first eight Championship games, the Royals have lost four on the bounce and threw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 to Bournemouth yesterday.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has suggested that losing run will stretch to five games when Veljko Paunović's side travel to the Den tomorrow evening and forecasted a 2-1 Millwall victory.

That result could see the hosts close the gap on the top six, while the Royals could drop out of the play-off places completely.

Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott could return for tomorrow's game but Mason Bennett, Conor Mahoney, Mahlon Romeo, and Kenneth Zohore look set to be absent due to injury issues.

The Royals could be missing a number of players as well, with injury concerns over John Swift, Felipe Araruna, Andy Yiadom, and George Puscas.

The Verdict

Both sides head into this game in desperate need of a victory, with no wins between them since October.

Reading's recent run has definitely been the worse of the two and the result in this one could come down to how they bounce back from Saturday's frustrating defeat.

If they can avoid the mistakes that hampered them against Bournemouth they should be ok, particularly as Rowett's men have only scored once in their last five games.

Prutton appears to feel that Rowett's men will find a way past that issue tomorrow evening, however.
