David Prutton is expecting Norwich City to claim bragging rights in the East Anglian derby with Ipswich Town tomorrow afternoon, with Daniel Farke’s side securing all three points.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky Sports, Prutton has predicted a 2-1 victory for Norwich against Ipswich, with James Maddison scoring the first goal at Carrow Road.

Not much separates the rivals heading into the weekend’s fixture, with both struggling to mount the play-off push they might have hoped earlier in the season.

Norwich enter the weekend’s round of fixtures in 13th with 44 points, with Farke’s side winning four of their last six, picking up 13 points from a possible 18 in 2018.

Ipswich are slightly ahead of Norwich in the league table, with Mick McCarthy’s side currently 12th, also on 44 points from their 31 fixtures.

Just goal difference separates the East Anglian rivals, but Ipswich don’t find themselves in the same kind of form as Norwich, with McCarthy’s side entering the contest on the back of a draw with relegation strugglers, Burton Albion.

The Verdict

Norwich are in fine form heading into this fixtures, and with home advantage, it could be difficult for Ipswich to stop Farke’s side.

Of course, the form book goes out of the window in derby fixtures, however, Norwich are looking good at the minute, whilst McCarthy’s side have looked indifferent in recent weeks.

A tight game, but a narrow home victory seems like it could be on the cards.
