David Prutton is expecting Wolverhampton Wanderers to once again slip up in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend, with the pundit believing they will only draw with Ipswich Town at Portman Road, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted Ipswich to hold Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to a 1-1 draw tomorrow, extending a frustrating run of results for Wolves in the Championship.

Nuno’s side still hold a nine-point lead at the top of the Championship table, but haven’t picked up three points since January 2nd, drawing with Barnsley before suffering a defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend, two results that were sandwiched between an FA Cup defeat.

Prutton, an EFL pundit, doesn’t believe Wolves will find it any easier at Portman Road tomorrow, when Nuno’s side will be coming up against Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich.

Prutton believes that McCarthy’s side will be able to smell blood and will be fancy their chance of causing Wolves problems in tomorrow’s clash.

Ipswich are entering the contest having picked up four points from their last two fixtures, with McCarthy masterminding a victory over Leeds, before guiding his side to a 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium.

The Verdict

Whilst Prutton mentions that Ipswich will be able to smell blood following Wolves’ indifferent run, it could also work the opposite way, with Nuno’s side desperate to prove a point.

It is a good time to play Wolves, but if they hit their best, it could be a very dangerous time for Ipswich to be facing them.

The first goal will be crucial at Portman Road, and if Wolves get it, you have to worry for Ipswich.
