David Prutton is expecting Cardiff City to once again drop points in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend when they welcome Hull City to the Cardiff City Stadium, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted a 1-1 draw between Cardiff and Hull, with Neil Warnock’s side dropping points for the second time in the last seven days.

Cardiff sit second in the table with 44 points, trailing only Wolverhampton Wanderers, but holding a four-point lead over Bristol City heading into the weekend’s fixtures.

The Bluebirds failed to put the pressure on Wolves earlier in the week, managing to pick up just a single point from Monday’s clash with Reading, which finished 2-2.

Whilst Cardiff and Warnock are battling for promotion, Hull are looking to stabilise their season following the appointment of Nigel Adkins.

Adkins oversaw an improved performance last time out, helping the Tigers to a 3-2 victory over Brentford, which helped to pull Hull slightly away from the relegation battle that was looming over them.

The Verdict

This is a potential banana skin for Cardiff, who on paper, should certainly be picking up three points this weekend.

However, Hull are going through the phase under new management and will be fired up to build on last weekend’s victory over Brentford.

It could be tight in Wales, but you have to expect Cardiff to pick up three points.
