EFL Pundit delivers score prediction ahead of Huddersfield Town vs Swansea City

Published

on

Huddersfield Town will be hoping to maintain their spot in the Championship play-offs when Swansea City visit tomorrow afternoon.

The Terriers are unbeaten in their last six games, form that has seen them reclaim their top-six status.

Carlos Corberan’s side have picked up 17 points from their last eight games on home soil, proving to turn the John Smith’s Stadium into somewhat of a fortress.

Swansea City will be hoping to put an end to three straight league defeats when they visit Yorkshire at the weekend.

The Swans have been out of second-tier action for over a month now, with their last Championship clash coming in the form of a 4-1 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that Huddersfield will edge this 2-1.

The verdict

Huddersfield are proving to be tough competitors this season, proving to possess defensive stability, whilst they have the attacking talents to cause a lot of harm in the Championship.

Their position in the play-offs could be taken away from them, should Middlesbrough and Stoke City win their games in hand, but they will ultimately be confident about what is happening this season.

Keeping up with the play-offs will be a tough ask, especially when the likes of Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are breathing down their necks.

Despite sitting in 17th, Swansea can still trouble the play-offs if they can make use of their games in hand.

They will be hoping to start 2022 in the Championship with a bang and this is certainly an opportunity for them to do so.
