Everton have reportedly joined Valencia and Roma in the race to sign Fulham midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, according to Transfermarket.de.

The midfielder has been with Fulham since 2018, and has gone on to make 63 appearances in total for the Cottagers, which includes 38 outings in the 2020/21 season, where they were relegated from the Premier League.

Anguissa is set for an interesting couple of weeks ahead, with the summer transfer window set to close on August 31st, which means that clubs will be looking to conduct their business in the near future.

The 25-year-old had previously been attracting interest from Valencia and Roma earlier in the summer transfer window, but a move to either side is yet to materialise.

Everton are now rumoured to be keen on a deal to sign the Cameroon international, although it remains to be seen as to which club is leading the race to land his signature this summer.

The Toffees finished tenth in the Premier League table last term, and are now under the management of Rafa Benitez, who is clearly eager to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Fulham are set to host Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon in their first league match of the 2020/21 season, although it remains to be seen as to whether Anguissa will be involved in the matchday squad after his rumoured departure.

The Verdict:

He'll surely be heading for the exit door in the next month.

Anguissa has shown that he can perform to a good enough standard in the Premier League, and so it's not much of a surprise to see him being linked with a return to the top-flight this summer.

A move to Everton could be beneficial to him as well, as the Toffees are evidently keen to bolster their midfield options before their new league campaign gets underway.

You couldn't blame Anguissa if he was tempted by a move to Everton either, as for any player, you're going to be likely to want to play your football at the highest possible level in the future.
