Hull City travel to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers tomorrow afternoon for matchday 29 in the Championship.
Nigel Adkins’ men will look to keep their unbeaten run going when head to Lancashire to take on Tony Mowbray’s side.
Both sides are level on points and are separated by only Swansea, who are in ninth.
Blackburn have won their last three matches after three straight defeats and will be looking to make it four victories on the bounce should they see off the in-form Tigers.
Hull ended a run of six straight wins with a draw with Aston Villa last week but have not lost in their previous ten games.
Both sides have ambitions of reaching the play-offs after indifferent starts to the campaign.
Ahead of the clash, Sky Sports enlisted the help of pundit David Prutton to give his thoughts on the outcome of this intriguing Championship fixture.
The EFL presenter said: “Blackburn are well over their dip now, and are back on the up after three straight victories.
“Whether they can get back into play-off contention, though, remains to be seen.
“Hull’s winning run came to an end last week, but a draw at Villa Park is never a bad thing.
“These two both have 40 points heading into the weekend and I can’t really split them. Score draw, 2-2.”
One team bang in form is Hull and the other finding some solid form themselves in Blackburn, go head-to-head this weekend.
A win for either side could see them three points behind Derby in sixth place come the end of the weekend.
So, Rovers and the Tigers will be doing all they can to inflict defeat on their opponents to gain that extra advantage.
There is little to distinguish between the sides, and I agree with Prutton in his estimation of a draw.
