EFL expert David Prutton has predicted that West Bromwich Albion will beat Hull City 2-0 in their Championship clash at the Hawthorns tomorrow evening.

Albion were beaten 3-0 by promotion rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday but Valerien Ismael's side won't have to wait long for their chance to get things back on track.

They welcome Hull to the West Midlands tomorrow evening and will feel it's a game they need to win if they're to close the four-point gap on the top two, with Grant McCann's side having lost their last four games on the bounce.

Coventry City beat then 1-0 at the KCOM Stadium on the weekend and, on the Sky Sports website, Prutton has predicted that they'll lose 2-0 against the Baggies tomorrow evening.

He explained: "West Brom have some right to feel a little aggrieved by the way Fulham took the lead at Craven Cottage on Saturday, but overall it would be hard for Valerien Ismael to say they deserved to take anything from the game.

"This is a good chance for them to get back on the horse, as Hull are in no sort of form at all. It's been four defeats on the bounce for Grant McCann and his side, and he needs to do something drastic to try and turn things around. That turnaround is unlikely to be coming at The Hawthorns, though."

That result could see the Tigers slip further adrift of safety, should both Cardiff City and Peterborough United get a result in midweek.

West Brom, meanwhile, could close the gap on the top six to just one point if Fulham were to slip up against Blackburn Rovers.

The Verdicts

It's hard to disagree with Prutton on this one, particularly given the fact that Albion are unbeaten at the Hawthorns this season.

Hull have lost their last three games by just a one-goal margin, so McCann's players may feel that a win is coming their way soon but you feel it may be tough against the Baggies.

They'll likely have the bit between their teeth after losing what was a big game against Fulham, with the referee's performance likely to have left them feeling as if everything is against them.

Valerien Ismael will be looking to take advantage of that siege mentality and with that in mind, this looks a dreadful time for the Tigers to travel to the Hawthorns.
