Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head to head tonight as the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi final takes centre stage at Stamford Bridge.

The London rivals are both in mixed form across all competitions and will be understandably determined to make a big impression on what will be an important night for both sets of supporters.

This derby also has a fascinating sub plot to it, with Antonio Conte being set to make his first return to Chelsea since being sacked as their manager back in 2018 after winning one Premier League title and one FA Cup with the Blues.

Add to the fact that the Romelu Lukaku saga has been rumbling on in the background and it is far to say that we should see a cracker under the floodlights in West London this evening.

Here, we take you through all of the things that you need to know ahead of the big game this evening.

Team News

The main headline from the Chelsea camp is that Lukaku is set to return to the fold after being left out against Liverpool in the league due to disciplinary issues.

Lukaku has since apologised to the club's supporters after revealing that he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge in a recent interview that he gave to the Italian media.

Meanwhile Trevoh Chalobah and Andreas Christensen are doubts, with both players carrying thigh and back problems respectively.

As for Spurs, Steven Bergwijn, Ryan Sessegnon and Cristian Romero are all out with calf and hamstring issues.

Whilst the club are also awaiting the results of some PCR tests in order to fully understand the extent of their recent Covid outbreak and how it will affect their squad this evening.

Conte acknowledged earlier in the week that his side have a couple of issues and said at the time that they would see how they develop.
