Watford have reportedly made both Andre Gray and Troy Deeney available with West Bromwich Albion eyeing the pair as alternatives for Huddersfield Town's Karlan Grant.

The Hornets were relegated from the Premier League last season it's been a busy summer window for them with players moving in both directions.

With just six days left until the domestic window closes it appears that there could yet be more deals.

A report from the Express&Star has indicated that West Brom view Grant as their top target but see Gray and Deeney as alternatives if they're unable to get the Terriers forward.

It is understood that Watford have made both players available ahead of next week's deadline for domestic deals.

Deeney is the Hornets captain and has spent 10 years at the club, scoring 133 goals in 399 appearances and helping them secure promotion to the Premier League in 2014/15.

Gray joined in a big-money deal from Burnley in 2017 but has been unable to recreate the form he showed for the Clarets, finding the net 16 times in just shy of 100 appearances.

Neither player has seemed a huge part of Vladimir Ivic's plans this season, with Deeney's one-minute appearance as a sub the only time either have featured.

Do Wolves and West Brom have these 10 things in common?

The Verdict

Even with the summer departures from Vicarage Road, Ivic still has some fantastic forward options to choose from so it's not a huge surprise that Watford are open to seeing Gray and Deeney leave.

The duo have both proven themselves as useful players in the top flight and would be a good alternative for the Baggies should their deal for Grant fall through.

It'll be interesting to see whether either player leaves this summer, to West Brom or elsewhere.
