Coventry City manager Mark Robins believes that Kyel Reid is keen to leave the club, according to The Coventry Telegraph.

Kyel Reid reportedly has an agreement in his contract which allows him to leave the club.

There were similar clauses in the contracts of striker Stuart Beavon (who opted to stay and sign a new deal) and Jordan Turnbull, who is reportedly talking to other clubs ahead of exercising this clause.

Kyel Reid could also leave this summer rather than stay with Coventry City for their upcoming League Two campaign.

The 29-year-old played the opening 45 minutes for Coventry in their 1-0 pre-season friendly win over Sutton United but his future at the Ricoh Arena looks increasingly unlikely.

Reid joined the Sky Blues last summer on a two year deal after leaving Preston North End (after a loan spell at Bradford City) but he believes that there is a "get out" clause in his current deal.

This can be exercised if Coventry suffered relegation in 2016/17, which they did.

The speedy winger could now be looking for yet another club, having represented a number of teams during his career.

The former West Ham United academy product has had permanent stints with Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Bradford City and Preston North End as well as a number of loan spells.

Renowned for his pace and trickery, Reid played 29 league matches for Coventry last year, scoring two goals.
