Lincoln City are vulnerable to interest from the Championship in Jorge Grant due to a clause in his contract, according to Lincolnshire Live.
The playmaker is facing an uncertain future following a successful campaign with the Imps after scoring 17 goals and creating nine more for the League One club.
Michael Appleton’s side came close to securing promotion to the second tier but fell short after losing to Blackpool in the League One play-off final at Wembley Stadium last month.
As a result the 26-year-old could be the first to be touted for a move.
Reports back in December with linked Nottingham Forest, Norwich, Brentford and Swansea City with a move for the player, however it’s unclear whether this interest still stands.
However Grant could be a player of interest once more with Lincolnshire Live revealing that the player has a buy-out clause that will allow clubs in the Championship to speak to him if they match the fee requested.
It remains to be seen what that fee would need to be, however it’s claimed that it ‘would be within reach of most Championship clubs, but would come with add-ons based on future success’.

Lincoln City may well be preparing to lose their star man this summer.
Jorge Grant has been a wonderful addition since moving to the club from Nottingham Forest in 2019 but it seems that he’s ready for life in the Championship.
It remains to be seen who will make a move for the player but I’d be hugely surprised if no one came knocking to try and secure his services – after all, he’s a quality player who would be perfectly at home in the second tier.
For Lincoln fans, the hope will just be that the clause is a respectable amount otherwise they risk losing their best player for a pittance.
