The future of AFC Bournemouth forward Josh King has been the main talking point for the Cherries during the summer transfer window.

The likes of Manchester United and West Ham were believed to have been interested in signing the Norwegian international before the transfer window reached a conclusion.

The Red Devils have since cooled their interest in signing the EFL forward, who has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for Bournemouth.

But his efforts weren't quite enough for the Cherries last season, as they were relegated back into the Championship under the management of Eddie Howe.

The club are now managed by Jason Tindall, and he has started this year's league campaign strongly, as they look to win promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Bournemouth are currently sat third in the Championship after their opening four matches, and will be hoping that they can build on these strong performances to date.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of their match against (), Tindall revealed that the club have already knocked back offers for King, with it set to be an interesting Deadline Day ahead.

"If an acceptable offer for any of our players come in, we’ll look at it. We’ve had a couple of offers for Josh that weren’t acceptable."

Bournemouth are set to return to action on Saturday, when they take on QPR, in what could potentially be a tricky test for Tindall's side.

The Verdict:

I'll be stunned if he's a Bournemouth player by the end of the transfer window today.

King has already shown that he's more than capable of playing to a high standard in the Premier League, having caught the eye with some strong performances for the Cherries in recent years.

He's rarely featured in the new season as well, which hints that his future lies elsewhere. But Tindall's latest revelation certainly surprises me, as I would have thought that they'd be keen to move him on this summer.

I wouldn't be surprised if they cashed-in on him late on Deadline Day.
