QPR extended their unbeaten run to four matches as they edged to a 2-1 victory over Derby County courtesy of goals from Grant Hall and Ilias Chair on Tuesday night.

Mark Warburton's side entered the match looking to continue building a run of form following their solid goalless draw against Nottingham Forest over the weekend, and the Rs took the lead against the Rams when Hall slammed the ball in the first half.

However, Martyn Waghorn then levelled the scores for Derby just before the break, but the Hoops then seized the advantage in  when Eberechi Eze threaded a pass through to Chair who scored the winning goal from the right-hand side of the box.

Chair found the net just two minutes following his introduction from the substitutes' bench, with this representing his second home goal in as many matches following his effort during the 4-2 victory over Stoke earlier this month.

The 22-year-old took to Instagram after the match to share an upbeat message following his crucial goal, and Eze has now responded to Chair's post with the comment "No Muckin About!" following the midfielder's immediate impact on the game.

Chair has now netted five goals in his 34 outings for Warburton's side this season, while he has also registered six assists.

The Verdict

QPR can now start looking further up the table following their 2-1 victory over the Rams which moves them into the top half of the table, and it gives Warburton's side a slim chance of reaching the play-offs as they currently sit six points adrift.

Warburton will have been particularly pleased with Chair's impact from the bench on Tuesday night, with the 22-year-old now clearly forcing his way into contention for a starting spot following his two strikes in his last two home appearances.

Chair has shown clear signs of improvement since his extended run in the side at the start of the season and Rs fans will love seeing the midfielder strut his stuff alongside the likes of Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel in Hoops' attack.
