Eberechi Eze has carried on where he left off last season and is enjoying a good start to the season under new QPR boss Mark Warburton.
So far he has featured in every Championship match for The R’s and played the full 90 minutes in all but one of those games, although he couldn’t prevent defeat at home to Swansea on Wednesday night.
Despite that, he shared a photo of him in action at The Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium on Instagram, along with the caption ‘Fortress’, which shows his joy at being able to play in front of the home crowd – at a club he’s been at since 2016.
He grabbed many of the headlines on the opening day of the Championship season with a brilliant solo goal at Stoke, one which proved to be the winner.
Warburton and the fans will be hoping for more of the same from the 21-year-old, but many will surely be impressed with what he has displayed so far.
This could be a really big season for Eze. He proved how skilful and brave he was last year, but if he could take a step up and become more productive then that would make him key to QPR’s attack.
Warburton could be ideal for him too. He worked very well with Alex Pritchard during his spell as manager as Brentford manager, who is a similar type of player to Eze.
He will therefore encourage him to take up attacking positions in the opposition penalty area and Eze should be able to get on the end of more chances as a result, and score more goals.
