Middlesbrough came out on top on a freezing night in the north east which saw the home side run out 3-0 winners thanks to a Patrick Bamford hat-trick which was enough to see off the inept challenge of Leeds United.

The win propelled Boro right into the mix for a playoff spot and Tony Pulis will be hoping his side can kick on in the next few weeks and really make a run at securing a spot in the top six and ultimately, a shot at promotion back to the Premier League.

On a quiet night, goalkeeper Darren Randolph was somewhat of a spectator, but he took to Twitter following the game to praise Bamford and his team for getting the win.

Of course, any sort of tweet from Randolph was always going to draw a reaction from the Boro supporters, and this one did just that.
