Derby County head into the final game of the season with their fate in their own hands in terms of landing the final play-off spot.

The Rams sit sixth at the moment but know a slip up could allow both Middlesbrough and Bristol City to sneak into the play-offs, and Frank Lampard will be desperate to see his team show the nerve and knowhow to see off the visiting Baggies.

Albion themselves though could well finish third, avoiding a clash with rivals Aston Villa in the play-offs, so they too will no doubt be keen to finish off their campaign in style.

The Rams though are sweating on the fitness of one of their key men ahead of the clash, as captain and defender Richard Keogh looks to overcome a knock to take his place in the backline and give Lampard's man a massive boost. George Evans is on standby though should Keogh not make it.

For Albion, they could welcome back winger Matt Phillips into the starting XI, with the former Blackpool man coming off the bench of late following injury.

Both teams have plenty to play for and it could well make for a stirring finish to what has been another exciting Championship season.

The Verdict

This is arguably the game of the day in the Championship with so much at stake.

Albion will be desperate to try and finish third to avoid playing Villa while Derby will know anything but a win will probably see them slip out of the top six.

It's all to play for, and exactly why we love the Championship so much.
