West Bromwich Albion head into tonight’s FA Cup fourth-round replay against Brighton and Hove Albion looking to progress to the next round to take on Derby County.

The Baggies head into the cup tie on the back of a demoralising defeat to promotion rivals Middlesbrough at the Hawthorns last weekend.

Darren Moore is expected to make changes to his side having altered the starting XI in the original tie between the two teams.

Loan trio Jacob Murphy, Jefferson Montero and Stefan Johansen are all unavailable to feature.

Murphy is cup-tied having played for parent club Newcastle in the previous round. Meanwhile, the other two new-arrivals were not registered before the original tie and therefore are not permitted to be involved.

According to Sky Sports, Sam Field, Rekeem Harper, Jonathan Leko and Kyle Edwards are all in with a shout of starting at the Amex this evening having played in the draw that took this tie to a replay.

Despite working hard towards a return from an ankle injury, this match comes too soon for Matt Phillips who remains out, while James Morrison is a doubt with an ankle injury, also, as he continues to be assessed.

For the hosts, Dale Stephens is a doubt with a hip problem having pulled out at the weekend in the warm-up before the game with Watford.

Jose Izquierdo is a definite absentee while he recovers from a knee problem and will miss the game that will see Chris Hughton make several changes once more, as he did in the original tie, according to Sky Sports.

The verdict

For both sides, the league is more important, and that will be reflected somewhat in the teams chosen to contest this replay.

Moore will be hoping the team he picks tonight will be able to avenge their defeat at the weekend and progress through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

It’s an important night for the Baggies who’s form has dipped in recent weeks and a win tonight could be a huge morale boost heading into this weekend’s trip to Stoke City.
