Leeds United travel to Wigan Athletic today hoping to maintain their unbeaten start to the Championship season.

A win over Bristol City followed by a draw with Nottingham Forest at Elland Road mean it's four points so far for Marcelo Bielsa's men as they look to go on better than last season and win promotion back to the Premier League.

A morale boosting 3-0 win in midweek over Salford City will have given the Leeds players the boost in front of goal they needed, with new signing Eddie Nketiah getting himself in on the goalscoring act on his debut.

And according to BBC Sport, Nketiah could well be handed his first start for the Whites in the Championship as Bielsa toys with the idea of bringing in the youngster in place of Patrick Bamford.

The Arsenal loanee will be keen to get involved in first-team affairs as soon as possible in the league and a tie at Wigan, who are expected to struggle this season, could open up the perfect opportunity for him to make his mark in the Championship.

The teenager was a late transfer window addition for Leeds as they added to their squad following the loss of Kemar Roofe, who moved to Anderlecht during the window.

The Verdict

It's only early in his career but it already looks like Nketiah has to start games.

He was massively impressive against Salford and looks sharp in and around the area, something Patrick Bamford has at times been accused of lacking in his spell with the club.

Bielsa has a big decision to make. The chances are he's not going to change the shape of his team meaning it's one of Nketiah or Bamford going forward.
