Reading kept up their promotion charge with a late victory against struggling Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Reading went in front twice but were twice pegged back by a resilient Blackburn side but a George Evans strike in stoppage time ensured all three points were heading back to Reading.

Dominic Samuel opened the scoring but that was cancelled out by a Danny Graham header as the sides went into the break with the score level at 1-1.

Reading retook the lead when Liam Moore knocked the ball in from close range but Wes Brown's header restored parity and it looked like the game was heading for a draw before Evans' late winner.

The victory ensured that Reading would be 3rd at Christmas and piled pressure on Brighton by cutting the gap to five points ahead of their late kick-off against Birmingham.

Reading fans were clearly delighted and here are a selection of the best Tweets from after the game.
