Early Charlton Athletic team news has emerged ahead of their clash with Millwall at The Den on Saturday, with Lee Bowyer delivering an injury update.
The Addicks will be eager to take all three points from their local rivals and Bowyer revealed that they will have full-back Adam Matthews available again, although attacking midfielder Chuks Aneke is likely to miss out.
“Adam Matthews has joined in training this week,” he told his pre-match press conference on Thursday, reported by the club’s official Twitter account.
“Chuks Aneke is struggling and had to come off at half-time for the U23s so we’ll evaluate him. So we may have lost one and gained one.”

Charlton have not beaten the Lions since 1996, a match in which Bowyer actually scored, so it is no surprise that only a win will do for them this time around.
Both sides come into the match with a mixed vein of form behind them with Charlton having not won any of their last three games; losing to Bristol City and Preston either side of a point away to West Brom.
Millwall have won just one of their last four but under the guidance of new manager Gary Rowett will be looking to build some serious momentum following a slow start to the season.
I think the loss of Aneke will come to have a bigger impact than Matthew’s return will.
Aneke has been down the pecking order this season, but he does have the capacity to change a game which can often prove crucial in tightly fought derby games.
However, I fully expect Charlton to be well up for this one and playing for three points, regardless of who is starting for them or not.
