Nottingham Forest fans had plenty to cheer about on Saturday afternoon when they defeated promotion chasers Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 at the City Ground.

The performance was arguably the best since Gary Brazil took charge at the club and it has edged them closer to securing their Championship safety for another season.

The Reds welcome Brentford to the City Ground tonight before a trip to local rivals Burton Albion at the weekend in what is arguably one of the biggest weeks in the club's season.

With so many outstanding performances in Saturday's win over Brighton, Gary Brazil is faced with a selection headache going into tonight's game with so many players fighting for a place in the team.

Could Brazil name an unchanged side or will he freshen things up?

Football League World writer Harry Webster takes a look at TWO players that Gary Brazil must axe from today's starting XI against Brentford....

Hildeberto Pereira

The Portuguese youngster on loan from Benfica did nothing wrong on Saturday afternoon and provided an attacking threat before being replaced by goalscorer Zach Clough, but the Reds looked far better with Clough through the middle with Osborn and Ward on the flanks.

Pereira's return to the starting XI is a boost to Gary Brazil and the squad after quickly bouncing back from a recent injury setback, but you sense that the former Academy manager will choose to stick with the attacking three that worked so well behind the striker.

Brazil may choose to use Pereira as an impact substitute if needed but he should be dropped tomorrow night through no fault of his own.

Britt Assombalonga

Since his most recent injury setback, the Reds' record signing has simply not been at the races since his return.

There can be no questioning that Assombalonga is one of the most dangerous strikers in the division on his day, but he is yet to get back to best after a torrid run of injuries.

The Reds looked even more dangerous when 17-year-old Ben Brereton replaced Assombalonga late on, winning a penalty and causing some problems for both Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy, and they also have the option of Ross McCormack who is definitely proven at this level.

With so many options in his attacking arsenal, Brazil should give either Brereton or McCormack a chance tonight.
