Dean Smith has a number of big calls to make ahead of the visit of Bolton Wanderers in the Championship tonight, as he looks to reverse the form that has seen his Aston Villa side lose their last two outings.

A major call will be whether to stick with Norwegian keeper Orjan Nyland who has struggled for form so far this season having been given the nod by Smith.

So should Nyland be dropped for tonight's match?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, he should have made it a week ago.

He hasn’t convinced me at all. His performances remind me of Felix Wiedwald last season, which is not a good thing.

Mark Bunn is an experienced keeper with plenty to offer, why not start him?

Nyland and the loan lad from Spain have just been average.

Jacob Potter

Drop him ASAP, but I don’t think he will.

Nyland is a man completely out of form since he arrived at Villa and it amazes me as to how he hasn’t been dropped yet.

Mark Bunn is a more than adequate replacement and should be given a fair chance to prove himself in this Villa squad.

Louie Chandler

Would that even be a bold call?

The Norwegian has been incredibly poor so far this season and the likes of Moreira must be wondering what they have to do to get a shot.
