Blackburn Rovers are enjoying a solid season so far, with Tony Mowbray’s side currently sitting in 12th place in the Championship table, despite their 1-0 defeat at home to Fulham last weekend.
Mowbray’s side could still potentially manage to mount a push for the play-off places before the end of the season, but that could prove to be a very difficult challenge considering the form of some of the teams in and round the top six, which would mean Rovers would have to put together an excellent run of form before the end of the campaign.
However, a top half finish would represent another solid season for Rovers in the Championship, considering that they do not have the resources of a lot of the clubs pushing for a place in the top six, which was highlighted by the club not making a single signing in January.
Rovers, though, do have some high quality players within their squad that could have the potential to form a very effective five-a-side team, and it would be interesting to see how Mowbray’s side would fair against other five-a-side teams from other clubs in the English second tier.
Here then, we take a look at the strongest five-a-side team Rovers could field out of their current squad…
