It's set to be a summer of change for Swansea City, who have already seen new faces arrive at the Swansea.com Stadium this summer.
The first Championship season under head coach Russell Martin in 2021-22 was a learning curve, and now the former Scotland international will be looking to crack the play-offs with the South Wales outfit.
Nathan Wood, Matthew Sorinola and Harry Darling have all already signed for the club, and some more fresh faces could be set to arrive in the coming weeks.
However, it appears that departures are also on the horizon - let's look at the transfer news that may have escaped your attention over the weekend.
Downes to secure Premier League move
As revealed by Football League World on Saturday evening, Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Swansea midfielder Flynn Downes.
The BBC have since re-affirmed that, with the Swans set to make big money on the player they signed from Ipswich last summer for £1.4 million.
Downes featured 37 times in the second tier for Swansea last season, and his time at the club is set to be a brief one.
Allen set to arrive
Downes' imminent departure will allow Swansea to bring Joe Allen back to the club, according to the BBC.
Russell Martin admitted his interest in the experienced Wales international, but stated in May that a gap in his squad would have to be freed up for a deal to be struck.
That is now set to happen, with Allen officially leaving Stoke City last week following the expiry of his contract and on the verge of returning to his boyhood club, who he left 10 years ago for Liverpool.
Swans set fresh Piroe stance
There has already been plenty of interest in Swansea talisman Joel Piroe this summer, but it appears that the club's stance on the Dutchman has changed.
Whilst every player has their price and even Russell Martin said that the striker's agents don't want to discuss a new deal, there is now no need to think about cashing in on him due to Downes heading to Palace.
Per Wales Online, unless Piroe's hefty price-tag is met by another club, then they will not consider selling him.
