Premier League side Brentford are likely to be willing to let Halil Dervisoglu move to Hull City if they can find a replacement, with the player keen on a move to the MKM Stadium according to Hull Live.

The 22-year-old has struggled for game time in the English capital since his move from Sparta Rotterdam in 2020, being shipped out to the Netherlands and Turkey on three different loan spells since his arrival at Thomas Frank's side.

Scoring just four goals in 28 appearances for Galatasaray last term, this isn't the sort of record that has forced him into the Bees' first team and with that, there's a chance he could be allowed to leave on another loan deal this summer.

Although they still have Ivan Toney at their disposal, they are currently lacking in natural centre-forward options and with this, officials at the Brentford Community Stadium won't sanction a temporary spell for Dervisoglu until they find a replacement.

They would, however, be willing to let him go if they can secure that replacement and as long as the Tigers provide him with plenty of game time.

Despite former teammate Marcus Forss' struggles at the MKM Stadium last term, 22-year-old Dervisoglu is also believed to be keen on a move and Hull remain interested in making him one of three new faces they want to recruit before the summer window closes.

The Verdict:

If they have the funds to turn this deal into a permanent agreement in the form of a loan-to-buy deal, they could benefit from that considering the forward is only 22 and will only get better.

His goalscoring record wasn't great last season and this is potentially why they should be looking to secure a loan agreement for his services, a type of deal they seem to be pursuing.

But a purchase option could make the Brentford man a potential long-term addition in East Yorkshire, an agreement that may be preferable for Shota Arveladze who will want to build for the long term, even with loanees.

Regardless of the type of deal they pursue though, they should benefit from the strong relationship they have with the Bees after striking agreements for Forss and Keane Lewis-Potter during this calendar year.

This relationship they have already struck up should make a potential deal for Dervisoglu a bit easier - and that could be important if this saga continues into the final stages of the window.
