Pablo Hernandez played 30 minutes for Leeds u23s on his return from injury this afternoon, as reported by Graham Smyth.

The Spaniard started the opening eight league matches, scoring two goals and assisting two, including a screamer at Ashton Gate in Leeds’ 1-3 win against Bristol City.

In a massive blow for Leeds, their star man suffered a muscular injury, which ruled him out for three matches. Marcelo Bielsa’s side clearly missed his creativity, as they lost matches against Charlton Athletic and Millwall, when missing Hernandez.

The international break has allowed the Spaniard a couple of weeks off to fully recover, in time for the visit of Birmingham City tomorrow. In an u23s match today, the 34-year-old got through 30 minutes unscathed, which is likely to blow off the cobwebs and get him ready for tomorrow.

Here, we see how excited Leeds fans are to see Hernandez back out on the playing field ahead of tomorrow...
