Charlton Athletic were defeated by Blackburn Rovers on Saturday as Lee Bowyer's side struggled to threaten much in front of the opposition goal.

Lyle Taylor started up top with Tomer Hemed but the duo failed to produce and couldn't find a way past Blackburn's solid backline. Macauley Bonne was on the bench, as was new signing Andre Green, who has partnered Taylor previously.

The Addicks are now just five points off the relegation zone and will be hoping to increase the distance from the dreaded drop when they take on Luton Town this Saturday.

The Hatters travel to The Valley in full confidence having won their last two matches and sit just six points behind Bowyer's side.

It's set to be an important fixture when the two teams come together on Saturday and Charlton will look to ensure that they make the most of their home advantage.

Football League World asked the Charlton Athletic FC(The unofficial & UnCensored Charlton Fans Group) Facebook group who should partner Taylor up top on the weekend.

John Cafc Turner: Definitely not Hemed don't rate him.

Brad Hulyer: Bonne simply because there is 17 goals between them.

Andy Murphy: Not sure how fit Bonne is yet. I'd go Green with Bonne to come off the bench.

Jason Bradley: Nobody... pack out the midfield and press them. Keep green and doughty wide, almost like a front three. We need the extra body in midfield to play the pressing game, which is what I think we need to get the win.

LJ Fowler: Not Hemed.

Gary Parkyn: Macauley Bonne!!!

Ian Lane: Definitely not Hemed.
