QPR were held to a 0-0 draw by Reading this weekend, but ensured they remained unbeaten in the final period of 2018, taking ten points from a possible 12.

They're now just four points outside the top six and carry realistic, if not ambitious hopes of a play-off place. It's a remarkable turnaround under Steve McClaren after a horror summer in which they couldn't sign players and a terrible start that saw them sink to the bottom three.

A number of players have been key to their resurgence, new faces such as Tomer Hemed and Geoff Cameron, but also established professionals such as Massimo Luongo.

The talented midfielder missed the game against the Royals due to his involvement in the Asian Cup with Australia and is likely to miss a further six matches before returning to the squad. His absence was clearly felt, with fans taking to social media to pass comment on the new-look midfield.

It seems Luongo, not one of the stand-out performers week on week, has been massively underestimated by the Loftus Road faithful. They've even admitted as much, with some noting they don't miss him until he's not there.

Here's the latest comments from them on Twitter.
