Statistics have emerged that indicate Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has not been clinical enough this season, which has been met with lots of agreement from many fans of the Whites.

Leeds are second in the Championship, one point back from league leaders West Bromwich Albion and six points ahead of third-place Brentford, but have been in dreadful form as of late.

The Whites have won just once since the 10th of December and winless in 2020.

Their defence has not been as resolute as it was at the start of the campaign, failing to keep a clean sheet in the last seven games but there have also been struggles at the other end of the pitch.

Patrick Bamford has been Leeds' main striker this season, starting all but two of their Championship games and scoring 10 times.

Statistics from LUFCDATA have highlighted that the 26-year-old has not been clinical enough in front of goal this season.

According to the data, the striker has the second-highest expected goals (xG) of any player in the Championship (15.61) but has the worst xG difference (-5.61) and has missed the most big chances (15) of any player that has scored more than seven times in the division this season.
