Birmingham City have gone at a steady pace both on and off the pitch this month, with only two days to go until the end of the January transfer window.

On the pitch, Blues have picked up five points from their first four games of 2020, with Pep Clotet's side sitting 18th in the Championship table - 13 points off the play-offs, and 12 points clear of relegation.

Off the pitch, Blues made their first signing of the window on Wednesday afternoon, bringing in Scott Hogan on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

But the club have been busy overseeing plenty of departures this month, with the likes of Odin Bailey, Steve Seddon, David Stockdale and Fran Villalba all departing St. Andrew's.

The latter recently returned to Spain, albeit on a temporary basis, joining UD Almeria on loan until the end of the campaign having endured a mixed spell in the West Midlands thus far.

Can you get 13 out of 13 on this Birmingham quiz?

The 21-year-old has made 17 league appearances since his summer move from Valencia, but having failed to register a single assist and scoring just one goal, this suggests he hasn't really adapted to life in the Championship.

The question is now whether Blues will look to add another creative spark to replace Villalba in midfield before Friday night's deadline.

Here, we take a look at the Birmingham City Fan Zone page on Facebook to see what fans are saying...

Daniel Smith: And guess who’s the obvious choice is...

Jordan Moore: No we have a team overcrowded in midfield a striker is a must

Gary Turner: Its taken our board this long an still not got a striker so don't hold your breath

Mick Greaves: there's more chance of blues selling Guinness at the ground. kro

Carl Lloyd: I was ok with Villalba and Baily leaving, nice players but they are not going to save our season. We need a decent forward with experience in the Championship like Hogan or maybe get Jerome in to do some running. Gimenez was from a decent European level but he don't look the part.
Barry Gater: Can't see us buying any one
Aaron Hughes: Can't see it
