Leeds United are in talks to sign Bury's young defender Morgan Sadler, currently impressing for the League Two side's U18 team, according to Football Insider.

Sadler was on the book of Manchester City and although he's still a teenager, he's shown enough promise to alert a host of clubs, including Marcelo Bielsa's side.

They've now entered talks to take him into their youth set up, the same academy that has produced Ronaldo Vieira and first team defender Tom Pearce.

There's a long way to go before Sadler is anywhere near the senior squad, but our FLW panel have still been giving their verdict on the potential move....

George Dagless

He's one for the future.

He's obviously impressed at Bury and looks capable of making the step up away from Gigg Lane.

Leeds have got some good young players already at the club and Sadler should add to that.

Don't expect him to play straight away though.

Sam Rourke

There is no harm in Leeds securing excellent young talent.

Sadler is one of the hottest prospects at Bury and if Leeds can bring him in, it'd be a shrewd signing.

In the superb Leeds United under-23 setup, Sadler can develop and mature as a footballer and potentially progress into a first-team role in the next few years

Jay Taylor

He’s regarded as one of the most promising prospects in League Two and he could be one for the future at Leeds.

I have my doubts as to whether he would get straight in to their team, but strangers things have happened.

Sadler heading to Elland Road would be an odd one on face value but if he is able to show potential then it could be a very shrewd signing.

Gary Hutchinson

At 15 years old, what can you truly draw from his ultimate potential?

Of course he's good, otherwise he wouldn't have been at Manchester City or played for Wales schoolboys.

He's clearly impressed at Bury, but there's only so much the League Two club can do with a player. Limited budgets and facilities mean he is better off with a club equipped to develop young talent more.

Fair play to Leeds for getting in the race early, as long as Bury are well compensated it could be a good move all round. Don't expect to hear his name for a year or three yet though.
