‘Don’t ever leave’ – Many Coventry City fans react to player’s display v Blackpool

Coventry City grabbed their second win of the season, and their first away from home last night, with Viktor Gyokeres’ strike moments before half time sealing the three points in Lancashire.

The visitors started strongly against the newly-promoted Championship club, with last year’s Player of the Season, Callum O’Hare, central to everything that The Sky Blues were piecing together.

After a strong first-half showing, Mark Robins’ side had to endure an increasing amount of pressure in the second half, but O’Hare’s relentless pressing and harrying of the ball, was clear for all to see and helped Coventry regain possession.

As the game wore on, Blackpool continued to pile on the pressure, but they were met by a resolute Sky Blues defence, and victory ensured that Coventry pushed up to fourth in the league.

O’Hare has made a strong start to the season and has picked up from where he left off last season.
