For many football fans, there are few things more exciting than an outfield player putting on the gloves and stepping between the posts to take on the role of a goalkeeper.

That unpredictability of what could happen, be it a spectacular save and clean sheet, or a horrific and costly blunder, means it is something that plenty of fans, especially neutrals, would love to see more often.

But while it remains a rare occurrence, football fans were able to enjoy such a cameo on Wednesday night, during Manchester City's Champions League draw with Atalanta.

After City's number one Ederson was forced off at half time through injury, substitute 'keeper Claudio Bravo was then sent off with just under ten minutes remaining, forcing right-back Kyle Walker to come off the bench and go in the goal for the final moments of the match, with the England international just about managing to keep the Italian side at bay.

Unsurprisingly, it was a moment that got the imagination of plenty of followers of the game racing, none more so than Huddersfield Town's Head of Goalkeeping Paul Clements taking to Twitter to ask Terriers fans which of the club's outfield players don the gloves if needed.

It is a question that has provoked quite a response from the club's fans, and indeed players, and here, we've taken a look at some of the nominations for that particular role.
