The EFL season is still on hold and for Leeds United, they are awaiting news on their potential promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds were top of the Championship table when things came to a standstill two months ago, a point clear of West Brom and a further six ahead of Fulham, who were, by far, the biggest threat to the top-two.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side had shaken off some patchy form at the start of 2020 to put together a six-game unbeaten run, which included five straight wins and five straight clean sheets.

This morning, Phil Hay has taken to Twitter to share a picture of Elland Road, as he so usually does on matchday in West Yorkshire.

Today should’ve been the day Leeds hosted Charlton Athletic on the final game of the season, which could, of course, had been the day that Leeds won promotion back to the Premier League.

As expected, there was a strong reaction from the Leeds fans….
