Leeds United need to move quickly when it comes to appointing a new manager at Elland Road, and there's one man they need to stay well clear of if they're to return to the good times.

The man in question? Wolves manager Paul Lambert, who just isn't what the club need going forward.

These are ambitious times down at Elland Road and they need to employ the right man long-term if the club are to really recognise their potential going into the upcoming campaign.

Paul Lambert is a manager who's record leaves a lot to be desired, especially in recent years.

His years at Norwich City were the best in his managerial career as he guided the Canaries to successive promotions but in more recent times, he's struggled at a trio of clubs that really should have been performing better under his guidance.

His time at Villa started well but after their heaviest defeat in top-flight football to Chelsea, a humbling 8-0 loss, the warning signs were clear for all to see.

He left them to become the new boss at Blackburn Rovers, where he lasted just six months as they finished in 15th in the Championship.

We now found ourselves in the current campaign, where he led Wolves to 15th in the league having taken over in November when the club were in 16th place.

His goal was to take the club away from relegation and towards the top-end of the table but Wolves stuttered in-front of their home support, and might've been in more trouble if it wasn't for a good spell towards the end of the campaign.

But breaking down his stats and performances over the past couple of years, it's clear that Lambert just isn't the right man to take this great club forward.

Radrizzani - look elsewhere and be more ambitious.
