‘Don’t deserve this’, ‘This is how you give 100%’ – Many Sheffield Wednesday fans react to club announcement

Sheffield Wednesday have announced that they have sold out their original allocation of away tickets for the FA Cup clash with QPR this weekend, which had led many fans to criticise the club following the recent poor form.

Wednesday travel to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Friday evening knowing that a victory over the West London side would see them qualify for the fifth round of the FA Cup.

It appears they will be well supported for the game, as it was announced yesterday that they had sold all of the 2,663 away tickets they had been allocated for the tie and have now received an additional 300 tickets.

The Owls beat Premier League side Brighton 1-0 in the last round of the competition but have been shaky in the Championship in recent weeks.

Wednesday have won just one of their last five in the league, including suffering a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

That run has seen them slide down to 10th in the Championship, three points from the play-off places, but another cup win could be just what they need to turn their fortunes around.

First of all, who is the current Sheffield Wednesday No.9?

The Wednesday fans will be expecting a far, far more respectable display than they were treated to at Hillsborough on Saturday and many took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
