One man who looks to be a frontrunner in the race to replace Struber is Valerien Ismael. According to Football Insider, the Tykes are set to appoint the 45-year-old.

As per the BBC’s Andy Giddings, Barnsley CEO Dane Murphy says that the club have narrowed the applicants down to a final group of three managers, with Ismael confirmed to be a contender.
