Allen, who has been on a one-month trial with the recently relegated League Two side, began his career with Fulham before moving to Barnet, where he had loan spells at Kingstonian, Redhill and Wingate, and Finchley.

The Glovers will be hoping for an immediate return to Sky Bet League One after what has been a dismal past two seasons, which have seen the club attain successive relegations down the Football League.

Allen will help add an element of pace and dynamism to the Yeovil Town frontline, and this signing could prove pivotal in any of the club's successes next season.

Glovers boss Paul Sturrock, who has made a real foray into this summer's transfer window by bringing in 15 new faces, said to the official site: “Iffy came to us with no real background after a spell at Barnet, where he only played a few games.

“He is a very exciting winger and his potential is huge, he showed glimpses of his potential against Torquay in the friendly last week.”

Given his attacking presence, Sturrock added; “Iffy knows where the goal is and likes to get crosses into the box, there is no substitute for pace a guile. We have have taken a chance on him and it is up to him to force himself into the team.

“I have watched him in training over the past month and that is where I see and learn most things about the players, he is not the finished article by a long shot."

And despite not featuring in Barnet's Conference title-winning season, Sturrock is excited by his latest addition. “I am excited by what I have seen in the games and training and I believe I can mould him into a exceptional player.”

Yeovil, who have suffered back to back relegations, begin life in League Two with a trip to Exeter on August 8.
