Tom James has joined Yeovil Town from Cardiff City, the club have confirmed.
The 20-year-old currently has just one professional appearance to his name, which was his Cardiff City debut against Premier League giants Chelsea back in 2014, during the Bluebirds’ top flight campaign, back when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge.
But since that outing, he’s featured only at youth level, for the Cardiff under-21 side.
James had his contract cancelled by mutual consent in the Welsh capital, and arrives at Huish Park with the club in 16th position in the League Two table.
Darren Way’s side have picked up 30 points so far in 2016/17 and have 8 wins under their belt.
The defender leaves Cardiff with the side in 18th place in the Championship, sitting 3 points clear of the relegation zone.
Neil Warnock’s men have won 8 league matches all season and are still at risk of slipping into a relegation battle.
