Lynch, 20, who made his Wycombe debut as a substitute in the Chairboys’ final League game of last season against Northampton Town, will be at the club until September 5.

Lynch arrived at Adams Park from League One side Peterborough United last summer, but manager Gareth Ainsworth has decided to give the keeper game time away from the League Two side after the return of number one keeper Matt Ingram.

Ingram was injured prior to the Chairboys play-off campaign, and Lynch featured in goal in both semi-finals against Plymouth Argyle and the final against Southend, where he saved one of the Shrimpers penalties as Wycombe lost in the shootout.

Manager Gareth Ainsworth said to Get Bucks: “Alex has proved himself to be a very capable keeper, but it’s no secret that Matt is our number one, so this is a great opportunity for Alex to go out and experience first-team football.”

Wycombe begin their campaign with a home game against York City before a trip to Conference champions Barnet next Saturday.
