Done deal: Wolves swoop to secure deal for French youngster

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has today completed the signing of French teenager Sylvain Deslandes, who joins the Molineux outfit from Caen, the club have confirmed.

The 18-year-old defender joins on a two-year deal with the club holding the option to extend that by a further year and the player will officially join on 1st July.

The left-footed defender is equally comfortable when operating as a full-back or as a left-sided central defender and will bring versatility to the Wolves squad.

He arrives in England with a view to initially join the Under-21’s at the West Midlands outfit.

Shortly after arriving in the UK, Deslandes spoke to club’s website.

The youngster said: ‘I am very happy, it is a dream come true for me.

‘I have never seen facilities like the ones here at Wolves, they are top of the range. Especially for the younger players.’

The youngster arrives at Molineux having already featured for France at numerous youth levels.
