17-year-old Hakeem Odoffin has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Barnet on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The defender will join up with Wolves’ Under-21 side as he looks to continue his development under the watchful eye of Scott Sellars.
Speaking to the club’s website, the youngster was happy to finally put pen to paper after a lot of speculation.
He said: “I’m delighted. It’s been a long time coming. There’s been a lot of talk and there was a lot of speculation.
“Barnet have been great about it so I was never worried and I knew I was always going to end up coming here. I’m just happy to get it done.
“The facilities here are unbelievable. I love it. I’m really looking forward to getting started.
Odoffin spent the first stages of his career as a youth player at Reading before transferring to Barnet in 2014.
He only made one appearance for the Bees in a 1-0 home defeat to Newport County in the FA Cup in December last year.
The centre-half joined Wolves on the same day that the club confirmed the signing of Premier League veteran Mike Williamson for an undisclosed fee.
Barnet fans, are you sad to see Hakeem Odoffin leave the club? Should he have been kept as one for the future?
Wolves supporters, is it important for the club to keep adding to their youth squad, and is Odoffin someone you’re hoping can eventually break into the first team?
